FAQs
What happens in therapy?
Therapy sessions typically last 50-55 minutes. The first two sessions we will be talking about why you came to therapy, your background information, and therapeutic goals for our work together. Sessions are typically relaxed and you have autonomy to choose what to process.
What is confidentiality?
Your information is private and protected. I do not share your personal or clinical information without your written permission except in situations required by law for safety.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I hold a 24-hour cancellation rate for sessions. When cancellation is unrelated to emergency or illness, a fee may apply. This fee is not covered by insurance.
How much does therapy cost?
I accept select insurances that will be charged when in-network. You will be responsible to know your specific insurance plan and pay fees that are not covered by insurance. My cash rate begins at $150.00 per session.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the expected cost of non-emergency mental health services. This estimate outlines anticipated fees for therapy before you begin treatment or at any time you request it.
How long does therapy take?
The length of therapeutic treatment depends on your goals and what purpose you believe therapy serves. These range from building life skills, processing past traumatic events, learning coping strategies, identifying values and life purpose, to using sessions as regular self-care. In short, there is no specific answer to the duration of therapy. We navigate this process together.
