honor your past
find your balance
discover your path
Cairns are stacks of stones placed along trails to mark where others have traveled and to guide the way forward. They help us remember where we’ve been while pointing us toward what comes next.
At Cairn Counseling, we honor your past with compassion and balance, helping you discover your next steps through healing, empowerment, and meaningful change.
Meet Hannah Davidhizar MA, LPC
Have you ever noticed yourself feeling "stuck" in your thoughts, feelings, or behaviors? Do you experience an internal, exhausting, tug-of-war between your mind and body? This can feel overwhelming and lonely, leaving many people feeling powerless. This is a common feeling, one that I myself have experienced. Painful experiences, significant life changes, relationships, or past memories can begin to feel as though they have great power over us and the people we want to be. I am passionate about helping people name those thoughts, feelings, and memories in a safe relationship to begin the journey of healing and empowerment.
I take a collaborative approach with clients that includes transparency, trauma-informed techniques, attachment theory, somatic work (mind & body), and narrative/story work. What this looks like is giving your mind and body new, safe experiences to heal and build connection.
I’m Hannah Davidhizar, a psychotherapist who earned a BA in Human Services and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have past experience working with grief and loss in a non-profit setting, and crisis care experience in a homeless youth shelter. I have attended trainings to inform my approach with somatic movement, attachment bonds, and trauma-informed care.
In my free time, you can find me with a coffee in my hand going to a thrift store, heading out for run, or getting a creative project started. I enjoy exploring on hikes with my family and spending lots of time outside!

Honor your past.
Healing begins when we can talk about what has happened to us and honor our past as a valuable part of our story. Like a cairn marking where we have been, these moments guide us forward. With compassion-focused theories and mindful therapeutic pacing, we will explore the hidden, stuck parts of your past that are overwhelming your present.
Find your balance.
Explore and get curious about what balance you want to bring to your story. Just like building a cairn, finding the right balance to keep building requires experiences and risks. We will take these risks together and empower you as you do.
Discover your path.
The hard work in therapy is honoring what has happened to us and how we have carried those painful parts for so long. Like a cairn marking where we’ve been and pointing us toward the next step on the path, creating space for ourselves and finding new experiences to create balance opens opportunities for new meanings. This is how we discover our path forward. The next part of your story awaits.
